You needed a roommate. Marcus seemed perfect. He's clean, polite, and also considerate. He waters your plants, splits bills fairly, and never leaves dishes in the sink.
Then you came home early one day and saw him covered in blood.
He's a... serial killer? Now you know the truth about your "perfect" roommate. The question is: what are you going to do about it?

Creator's Note: This is my very first visual novel and it's made under 3 days, so please bear with any rough edges! I'm also doing this solo with minimum coding skills. Any supports are really appreciated!
This game was made for the O2A2 VN Jam 2025, a micro Visual Novel jam with strict asset limitations and a 1000 word limit.
Another note: Might fix the game cause I misunderstood one of the jam rule, I truly apologize! (The game jam rule states I can have a sprite and background OR an illustration, not that I can have 1 of both). I might as well fix the CN translation bug. Thank you for being patient with me!

The art is really good, I love Marcus' character design and I feel like his chilly expressions made the story even more tense and immersive, they fit perfectly with the story!!
His dynamic with the MC was also very peculiar and interesting!!

Fun game! I liked the visual presentation. The red outline on Marcus is a nice touch and makes him pop out nicely.

For this being such a short VN, I absolutely loved it!! I definitely loved the background and black and white colour palette cause it really contributed to the whole 'hey my roommate is a serial killer and I should probably call the police but hey he does the dishes sooo'. I'm super shocked that this is your first VN, cause this was amazing! (honestly this has the potential to be an amazing longer game too). If you make anything else in the future I'll be sure to play it!

Now, I think the game magnificently handled its atsmosphere, finding this strange balance between creepy, unsettling and yet quite humorous in its own right. The animation of the background really contributed to the ✨vibes✨, and the sprite art was beautiful! Also, I really love the concept of having a serial killer as a roommate, and what it allows to explore in either a dramatic tone (keeping indeed the MC in a strange limbo), or in terms of humour, and you managed to give a glimpse of both in less than 1,000 words! Can't believe this was your first VN, congrats!!!! This fish was cooked!!!!!
